Water Dance

Opening Reception at Asheville Gallery of Art

16 College Street, Asheville

Friday, May 4, 2012    5-8 PM

Show Dates:  May 1 – May 31st

I have been painting like crazy to get ready for my exhibit in May called “Water Dance”!  If you’re a local, stop on in at the gallery and have a glass of wine and some munchies.  If you’re not in Asheville, you’re still invited – just grab a glass of wine and munchies and you can see the show right here, and you can even wear your slippers! Just click on the gallery page and enjoy.

Why a water-themed show? From an artist’s perspective, especially in watercolor, I find water exciting and difficult to capture, so creating a whole exhibit around water is a good challenge to my skills.  Living in this area of North Carolina, we have an abundance of many beautiful lakes, streams and rivers, and we sometimes take that for granted.

So, I am donating a portion of the proceeds from sales in this show (both at Asheville Gallery of Art and thru my website) to a non-profit organization that is directly involved with delivering short term and sustainable water projects to needy families and villages thruout the world.  Check out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=teDPj6i2vkg&feature=relmfu
