Surrounded by the beauty of the Botanical Gardens, I teach a lively class on watercolor painting – everything from improving your compositions, to creating new blends of colors for your landscapes. A lot of time is spent giving individual assistance, and I will sometimes do a demo or two on a certain subject (for example, how to paint a dew drop, how to make a flower stem look rounded). I also like to share books and websites that are good information sources. There’s no ONE right way to paint with watercolor – what works for one person may not work for another. So it’s helpful to find different explanations and solutions for particular painting issues. It’s really important to me to help each student develop their own style of painterly expression and to have fun in the process. Not every painting is a masterpiece, but every painting is a learning experience!
Thursdays at the Botanical Gardens at Asheville:
Morning Class: 9 am to 12 noon
Afternoon Class: 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm
And if you want to paint all day, you can choose both classes!
Class fee is $ 25 per 3 hour session
If you would like to know more about the watercolor class, please call me or send an email- I’m always excited to talk about our classes.
